Our List of Top Reseller Apps For Success!

Reselling? There’s an app for that.

There are so many apps that save time and increase efficiency for resellers!

As a multi-platform e-commerce seller, I use apps for photo-editing, business management, pricing and listing, finding stock photos, and sourcing inventory and supplies!

Here are some of the best apps for resellers and small business owners:

Must-Have Photo-Editing Apps for Resellers:

1. PhotoRoom

PhotoRoom is another great app for photo-editing. Photoroom is a background-removing app that can be used to create amazing photos.

Did you know that PhotoRoom is incorporated in Vendoo? Check this out

The app removes the background in images in just seconds, giving you clean and stunning photographs with maximized SEO.

A plain white background performs best on marketplaces and major search engines like Google? And guess what, Background Remover by PhotoRoom is now available in Vendoo! Make your photos look professional in seconds, right from the listing form.

Photoroom also features thousands of creative backgrounds and the ability to upload your own image as a background. With PhotoRoom, you can take your photos anywhere and create perfect listings. Check out this edit:

PhotoRoom is a free app, but I highly recommend subscribing to the pro version to remove the watermark and give you the bulk-editing feature for the entire year.

Unique features: Removes background from images automatically, offers thousands of creative backgrounds, and allows uploading your own background.

Potential downsides: Free version has a watermark, and some users may find the pro version expensive.

2. Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is a professional photo-editing, camera, and photoshop app for professional and high-quality images. Lightroom offers settings and filters for live photography and powerful photo-editing capability. The Lightroom editing software is superb, and the presets are amazing. This app is designed for photographers and does everything as far as editing and adjustment. I love using presets for my modeled cover photos and social media posts.

One of my favorite things about LightRoom (besides the amazing presets) is that you can use the masking tool to make edits and adjustments to only the subject or the background. The background adjustments on LightRoom are far more professional than than the harsh background removal tools that don’t always trace the subject correctly.

Unique features: Professional photo editing tools, powerful masking tool for precise edits, and amazing presets.

Potential downsides: Paid subscription required for full access, and the masking tool may have a learning curve for beginners.

The desktop computer version is much better, but they also have a mobile app:

3. Snapseed

Snapseed is another amazing photo-editing app. Snapseed offers advanced photo editing, adjustment, and filtering. Snapseed features a brush tool by which you can manually select the areas to edit, creating stunning and professional results. Snapseed also offers very professional text overlay formats for signs, graphics, and advertisements.

4. PicTapGo

PicTapGo is an efficient and very powerful photo-editing app. PicTapGo is super quick and easy to use, offering basic adjustments to light, contrast, color, and warmth, which is really all we need for listing images. It also has some basic filters.

The “Lights On” Filter is my favorite-It really brightens up images without making them too bright.

Plus, you can sync PicTapGo to your camera roll, so you can edit and save your pictures in PicTapGo right from your “edit” screen on your camera roll (as opposed to uploading them to the app).

Unique features: Efficient and easy to use, offers basic adjustments, "Lights On" filter for brightening images, and syncs with camera roll for editing directly from there.

Potential downsides: Lacks some of the more advanced features of other photo editing apps, and may not be suitable for professional-level edits.

PicCollage is a collage app that provides countless aesthetically pleasing collage formats for any number of images. I use PicCollage to create collages when additional photos are necessary for my listings. I also use PicCollage to reformat rectangular images into square mode.

Here is an example of a collage that I made for Depop, because Depop only allows 4 images in your listing:

My Favorite Apps for Reseller Business Management:

9. GoodNotes

GoodNotes is my favorite app of all time. I use it for note-taking, to-do lists, scheduling, recording measurements, and bookkeeping. I use GoodNotes for everything, not just reselling.

It is essentially a virtual notebook, with hundreds of templates and the ability to organize information in various formats, charts, tables, files, and folders. GoodNotes works with an Apple iPad and an Apple pencil. It can be downloaded on the Apple App Store here.

Unique features: Virtual notebook with hundreds of templates, ability to organize information in various formats, works with Apple iPad and Apple Pencil.

Potential downsides: Only available on iPad, and may not be suitable for users who prefer traditional pen and paper.

10. Microsoft To Do

Microsoft To-Do is another amazing app for business management. The app allows you to make countless lists, organized by category and urgency. To Do assists with task management and organization in a much more efficient way than the standard “notes” app found on most smartphones.

Unique features: Creates countless lists organized by category and urgency, assists with task management and organization.

Potential downsides: Lacks some of the more advanced features of other to-do list apps, and may not be suitable for users who need more complex organization tools.

Download it here on the Apple App Store.

If Microsoft isn’t for you, there are many alternative list-making apps available for download.

11. QuickBooks

QuickBooks Self-Employed is an incredible app for small business owners. It tracks expenses, receipts, calculates mileage, and suggests potential deductions. QuickBooks Self-Employed makes book-keeping and tax preparation so simple! I highly recommend this app for reseller book-keeping. If you use Turbo Tax, you can use QuickBooks Self Employed for free!

Reseller Apps for Listing Inventory

12. Size.ly

Size.ly is an amazing program for resellers, which creates size charts for your clothing inventory in just seconds. The app generates a sketch of an item with lines to show where the measurements are taken. For example, the app will generate a clip art image of a pair of jeans including all measurements and arrows to indicate what they are. You can use this image for your reference when listing or upload it right into the listing as an image. This reduces confusion in measurements, and also saves time in typing them all out!

Remember that for some measurements, such as waist and inseam on bottoms, you might want to type them out fully in your description to enhance SEO. Some measurements are frequently searched in search forums such as “32 Waist.”

Unique features: Creates size charts for clothing inventory in seconds, generates sketch of item with measurement lines, can be uploaded to listing.

Potential downsides: Not a true app (accessed through web browser), and may not be accurate for all items.

13. Google Lens

Google Lens is one of my top apps, I use it every day! Google Lens is a reverse image-searching app where you can search the web by picture. That is, I can search by a photograph in my inventory.

Google Lens is an amazing app for reseller comp research, determining retail value, finding stock images, and researching information about your item (by finding it posted on retail sites to utilize the language in their descriptions). This app has truly been a game changer for my reselling business.

Google Lens demonstrates how photographs can maximize SEO. The reason so many resellers use a plain, lightly-colored background is because image search engines prefer it!

Unique features: Reverse image search using your phone's camera, great for reseller comp research, finding retail value, and researching information about items.

Potential downsides: Results may not always be accurate, and may not be suitable for all items.

14. eBay Product Research

eBay Product Research (formerly known as eBay Terakpeak) is where eBay sellers go for pricing research and market information.

Even if you don't sell on eBay, you should use this tool for pricing research. eBay is the largest and most lucrative peer-to-peer marketplace with the broadest array of categories. You can trust and rely on the information from eBay to give you an idea of the demand, price, rate, and rarity of your items.

Here's an example of the data yielded when I searched for Lululemon Align Leggings.

eBay provides information and "comps" (comparable prices) for both sold and active listings, and other key metrics like price range, average shipping cost, STR (sell through rate), and more.

Potential downsides: You need to have an eBay account to use this feature (but it is available on free eBay accounts, it does not require a subscription).

17. Rakuten

Rakuten (formerly called Ebates) is another incredible app that offers cash back every time you shop (at 2,500 participating stores). With Rakuten, you can earn cash back for your Amazon reseller supplies! I use Rakuten daily, for personal use as well as my reselling business. Rakuten is simple to use, and totally free! Rakuten offers coupons and promo codes as well!

Sounds “skeptical”? No, it is totally legit, and it has been around since the late 1990s.  Stores pay Rakuten a commission for featuring their store and driving customers and business. In turn, Rakuten gives a percentage (of the money they are paid by stores) to the app user as a reward. I have earned thousands of dollars on Rakuten! Sign up here.

Tip: Install the Rakuten chrome extension on your computer and earn cash back effortlessly.

Additional Apps For Resellers:

18. Pirate Ship

Pirate Ship negotiates discounted shipping rates with major carriers like USPS, UPS, and FedEx, passing on those savings to you. They offer transparent pricing with no hidden fees, and you can compare rates in real time to choose the most cost-effective option for your package. While basic features are free, premium plans starting at $9 per month provide additional discounts and shipping tools.

Unique features: Negotiates discounted shipping rates with major carriers, offers transparent pricing and real-time rate comparisons.

Potential downsides: May not be the cheapest option for all shipments, and premium plans offer limited additional benefits for casual users.

Some of these apps are free, and others require a subscription. If you are like me, you hesitate to spend $4.99 on an app (but no hesitation for a $6 coffee at Starbucks, hehe). While an app might not be as tangible as a vanilla late, remember that all business requires overhead costs and software systems. Do not be afraid to invest in your business.  Also, the applications you purchase for your business are tax deductible. Applications that save you time are saving you money.

Most of the apps offer free trials. Be sure to try them out before you commit! If the app isn’t for you, just keep an eye on the subscription date to cancel prior to billing.
