Note that nothing but fashion is allowed on Grailed.

Grailed is woke and we love it. Grailed keeps the community safe and inclusive by prohibiting obscenely offensive items.  💯

Grailed’s hateful item policy prohibits the sale of any content that promotes or glorifies hatred, violence, racism, or discrimination towards people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, disability, or sexual orientation.

Which Brands Can I Sell on Grailed?

You can sell any fashion brand on Grailed. They do not have an exclusive designer list.

You might notice that in the women’s categories, the brand list is a bit lacking. This is because women’ is new to Grailed. We explicitly asked the Grailed team in our Grailed Webinar if it is okay to list items if the brand isn’t on their list: they said yes

If you are listing an item and the brand is not recognized, you can select “Other” as the brand (or “Vintage” if it is at least 20 years old). You can also formally request a brand to be added here.

How to List on Grailed

Selling an item on Grailed is simple, it is just like selling everywhere else. Follow these steps to make more sales on Grailed:

1. Upload at Least 3 Photos

Grailed allows 25 photos! Looks matter- be sure that your photos are well-lit, and clear, and make your item look their best. 🔥  Be sure to show the front, back, labels, and all angles, details, and accessories!

2. Provide as Much Information as You Can

Grailed will prompt you to select the condition, size, brand/designer, model or style, etc. Do a bit of research and see what else you can learn about your item like it’s title and release date, too!

Pro Tip: Josh @GetDizzyStore recommends selecting multiple brands when the item is a collaboration. This is also helpful for adding “vintage” as a brand along with the actual brand of the item.

3. Write a Description

Your description should include details such as the item, title, size, condition, collection, retail price, and more. Generally, the more details the better to provide the best buyer experience and the most exposure for your listings.

4. Add Tags

Tags help your item to sell. You can select up to ten hashtags. Be sure to choose trendy, relevant tags based on brand and style.

Have you checked out A Reseller’s Guide to Cores & Aesthetics? We update this list regularly with trending hashtags, BOLO Brands, and keywords for Grailed.

5. Enter the Measurements

Your item is 40% more likely to sell if you include the measurements. Unlike the other reselling apps, Grailed has a special field prompting you to include the measurements based on your item. This helps buyers to find your items when they search based on fit.

Grailed Measurements

In your Grailed listings, include all of the suggested measurements. For example, for a pair of jeans, include the waist, inseam, leg opening, front rise, thigh, and knee measurements. Of course, measurements vary depending on the type of item.

6. Price Your Item

Pricing is a science, as you want to price low enough to be enticing but high enough to have room for offers and yield a good profit. Don’t be afraid to price high on Grailed!

Generally, if you compare comps between Grailed and other platforms, items sell for a lot more on Grailed. 💰

When listing, Grailed provides a price range tool to provide you with comparable pricing (“comps”). You can also search comps on Grailed by searching for a comparable item, and selecting “Show Only” and “Sold”

Grailed also offers smart pricing, whereas your price is automatically dropped weekly until it reaches a floor price (that you select as a baseline).

Then, you enter your shipping information and list your item.

Note that if you opt to pay for shipping, the cost varies. As you can see above, the shipping cost is based on the item and the buyer’s location.

For reference, I toggled free shipping on a t-shirt and the price displayed was $7. For a sweatshirt, it was $15. Prices vary by location and weight. Refer to your listings for your rates.

Remember that if you offer international shipping, you have to pay shipping yourself and you have to ship on your own. Be sure to account for this in the price.

When you make a sale, you can download the label from Grailed

You’ll receive a sales notification where you can easily print your label, affix it to your package, and ship:

Grailed Tips and Tricks:

Here are some expert tips to make more sales on Grailed:

1. List Consistently

Like every platform, consistent daily activity is the best way to increase exposure and revenue.

No time to list every day? You can delist and relist your items in Bulk with Vendoo.

2. Do Your Research!

Know what you’re selling. The more information and details you provide, the more exposure your item will get. For high fashion or certain streetwear brands, it is helpful to know the title of the item, the release year, the season, and the collection when applicable.

3. Consider Your Pricing Strategy

On Grailed, you can often yield a higher sale price for items. But, Grailed is an offer-based marketplace, so expect some haggling.

Use price drops to your advantage to gain more exposure for your listings.

4. Bump Your Listings!

A “bump” on Grailed is sort of like a “share” on Poshmark or a “refresh” on Depop.

On Grailed, Bumping brings your listings to the top of search results and followers’ news feeds.

You can “bump” a listing every 7 days within the first 30 days of your item. Thereafter, you must drop the price by at least 10% to bump.

5. Utilize Multiple Brands

On Grailed, you can utilize multiple brands when applicable, especially for collaborations.

For example, a Gucci x The North Face limited edition collab coat could be listed under both Gucci and The North Face for double exposure.

6. Offer International Shipping

Do not be afraid to ship internationally, as it will widen your reach and potential audience.

7. Send Offers to Likers

You can send offers to likers (OTL) on Grailed. To initiate an offer, navigate to the “for sale” page, and your eligible listings will appear as eligible to send offers.
