Reselling? There’s an app for that.

There are so many apps that save time and increase efficiency for resellers!

What are the Best Reseller Apps?

As a multi-platform e-commerce seller, I use apps for photo-editing, business management, pricing and listing, finding stock photos, and sourcing inventory and supplies!

Here are some of the best apps for resellers and small business owners:

Must-Have Photo-Editing Apps for Resellers:

1. PhotoRoom

PhotoRoom is another great app for photo editing. Photoroom is a background-removing app that can be used to create amazing photos.

👀 Did you know that PhotoRoom is incorporated in Vendoo? Check this out

PhotoRoom removes the background in images in just seconds, giving you clean and stunning photographs, maximized for SEO. A plain white background performs best on marketplaces and major search engines like Google.

Background removal by PhotoRoom is built into Vendoo! Make your photos look professional in seconds, right from the listing form.

Photoroom also features thousands of creative backgrounds and the ability to upload your own image as a background. With PhotoRoom, you can take your photos anywhere and create perfect listings.

PhotoRoom is a free app, but I highly recommend subscribing to the pro version to remove the watermark and give you the bulk-editing feature for the entire year.

Unique features: Removes background from images automatically, offers thousands of creative backgrounds, and allows uploading your background.

Potential downsides: Free version has a watermark, and some users may find the pro version expensive.

2. Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is a professional photo editing app designed for creating high-quality images. It offers advanced tools, filters, and settings for live photography and post-processing. The editing capabilities are exceptional, and the presets are some of the best available. Built with photographers in mind, Lightroom provides everything needed for detailed edits and adjustments.

One of my favorite features, aside from the stunning presets, is the masking tool, which lets you selectively edit just the subject or the background. The background adjustments in Lightroom are far more refined and professional than many automatic background removal tools, which often fail to trace subjects accurately. I especially love using Lightroom presets for my modeled cover photos and social media content.

Adobe Lightroom offers a free trial

Unique features: Professional photo editing tools, powerful masking tool for precise edits, and amazing presets.

Potential downsides: Paid subscription required for full access, and the masking tool may have a learning curve for beginners.

💡 Tip: If you don't photograph on a camera, this tool might be beyond your needs. But, if you take pictures on a camera, the desktop computer version is much better and faster than the mobile app.

Snapseed is another great photo editing app. Snapseed offers advanced photo editing, adjustment, and filtering. Snapseed features a brush tool by which you can manually select the areas to edit, creating stunning and professional results. Snapseed also offers very professional text overlay formats for signs, graphics, and advertisements.

4. PicTapGo

PicTapGo is an efficient and very powerful photo-editing app. PicTapGo is super quick and easy to use, offering basic adjustments to light, contrast, color, and warmth, which is really all we need for listing images. It also has some basic filters.

💡Tip: This is a great mobile photo editing app.

The “Lights On” Filter is my favorite really brightens up images without making them too bright.

Plus, you can sync PicTapGo to your camera roll, so you can edit and save your pictures in PicTapGo right from your “edit” screen on your camera roll (as opposed to uploading them to the app).

9. GoodNotes

GoodNotes is my favorite app of all time. I use it for note-taking, to-do lists, scheduling, recording measurements, and bookkeeping. I use GoodNotes for everything, not just reselling.

GoodNotes is essentially a virtual notebook, with hundreds of templates and the ability to organize information in various formats, charts, tables, files, and folders. GoodNotes works with an Apple iPad and an Apple Pencil.

Reseller Apps for Listing Inventory

11. Size.ly

Size.ly is a tool for resellers that creates detailed size charts for your clothing inventory in just seconds. The app generates a visual sketch of the item, complete with measurement lines and arrows to indicate exactly where each measurement is taken.

For instance, it will display a diagram of a pair of jeans showing all relevant dimensions. These images can be used for personal reference or uploaded directly to your listings to save time and eliminate confusion around sizing.

💡Tip: For optimal SEO, consider typing out key measurements, like waist and inseam, in the item description. Common searches often include terms such as “32 waist,” which can help boost your visibility.

Standout features:
  • Instantly creates size charts for apparel
  • Auto-generates item sketches with measurement indicators
  • Images can be saved or uploaded directly to listings

Unique features: Creates size charts for clothing inventory in seconds, generates sketch of item with measurement lines, can be uploaded to listing.

Potential downsides: Not a true app (accessed through a web browser), and may not be accurate for all items.

12. Google Lens

Google Lens is one of my most-used apps as a reseller—I use it daily! This reverse image search tool allows you to search the web using a photo. Simply snap or screenshot an image, and Google Lens will find visually similar items online.

It’s an incredible resource for reseller comp research, identifying retail value, locating stock photos, and pulling product descriptions directly from retail listings to improve your own. This app has truly been a game changer for my reselling business.

Google Lens also highlights the power of visuals for SEO. Many resellers opt for plain, light-colored backgrounds because image search engines favor clean, unobstructed photos.

Standout features:

  • Reverse image search using your phone's camera
  • Ideal for comp research, retail value checks, and product identification
  • Helps source accurate item descriptions from retail sites

Potential downsides:

  • Results can be inconsistent or inaccurate
  • May not work well for handmade, vintage, or obscure items

13. eBay Product Research

eBay Product Research (formerly known as eBay Terakpeak) is where eBay sellers go for pricing research and market information.

Even if you don't sell on eBay, you should use this tool for pricing research. eBay is the largest and most lucrative peer-to-peer marketplace with the broadest array of categories. You can trust and rely on the information from eBay to give you an idea of the demand, price, rate, and rarity of your items.

eBay provides information and "comps" (comparable prices) for both sold and active listings, and other key metrics like price range, average shipping cost, STR (sell through rate), and more.

Potential downsides: You need to have an eBay account to use this feature (but it is available on free eBay accounts, it does not require a subscription).

While basic features are free, premium plans starting at $9 per month provide additional discounts and shipping tools.

Some of these apps are free, and others require a subscription. If you are like me, you hesitate to spend $4.99 on an app (but no hesitation for a $6 coffee at Starbucks, hehe). While an app might not be as tangible as a vanilla latte, remember that all business requires overhead costs and software systems. Do not be afraid to invest in your business.  Also, the applications you purchase for your business are tax-deductible. Applications that save you time are saving you money.

Most of the apps offer free trials. Be sure to try them out before you commit! If the app isn’t for you, just keep an eye on the subscription date to cancel before billing.
