The adidas YEEZY sale commenced earlier this year on May 31, 2023, in the U.S., with variations in other regions according to their respective time zones, starting on June 1.
adidas made the YEEZY shoes available exclusively through their website and the adidas CONFIRMED app.
Regarding the YEEZY shoe lineup for the sale, it included drops that were originally scheduled for 2022. Specifically, the YEEZY Boost V2 350 "Onyx" and "Carbon Beluga" colorways were featured on the North American calendar for May 31.

As for the question of adidas and YEEZY reuniting, there seemed to be a moment when it was possible. However, they remained separate entities after adidas ended its collaboration with Kanye "Ye" West's YEEZY brand due to controversial tweets and outbursts.
Following the halt of YEEZY sales, the question arose regarding what would happen to the estimated $1.3 billion-worth of leftover YEEZY shoes. The answer was that adidas decided to donate a portion of the YEEZY sale proceeds to organizations committed to fighting discrimination and hate, such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change.
Moving forward, Kanye "Ye" West would continue to sell YEEZY products as he retained sole ownership of the YEEZY brand. The collaborative effort between Ye and adidas ended in late 2022, signifying the end of new YEEZY sneaker releases.
Ye had already ventured into a new YEEZY clothing collection, including tight T-shirts, and some odd socks, but no longer featuring shoes, hinting at a shift away from the popularity of adidas YEEZY sneakers.
The popularity of YEEZYs stemmed from their limited availability and association with Kanye "Ye" West. They became a cultural touchstone, recognized as "hype" sneakers, yet attainable to a broader audience due to their larger production numbers. YEEZY sneakers were also renowned for their comfort, thanks to breathable uppers and special adidas cushioning in the sole units.
YEEZY sneakers sometimes featured the "SPLY" text, referring to YEEZY SUPPLY, the now-defunct website where adidas used to release new YEEZY shoes and colorways. Since YEEZY SUPPLY shut down in early 2023, one of the final YEEZY sales took place on the adidas CONFIRMED app.
So what’s next for YEEZY? Is there still a successful future for the brand amongst sneakerheads? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
